I love an email from Emily. We connected a few years back and, even though I haven’t really counted, I think it is safe to say I have probably sent a set of journals at least 5 times.

The Aldrich is a really sweet spot set back on the main street heading straight into downtown Ridgefield. As you make your way towards the museum, you’ll pass many vintage homes still standing from hundreds of years ago. The detail and charm of the architecture is captivating. Classic Connecticut homes. After the museum, you’ll quickly run into the downtown area with a mashup of essential stores, sweet treats, coffee shops, and theatres.

Part of the upgrades made to the studio this year included a new tabletop from IKEA that gave me more room to work with, but unexpectedly gave me the perfect white background that I had been trying to achieve in makeshift ways.

For every order, Emily chooses 5 of each journal size, and usually will have a different fabric for each, but sometimes will match two journals. Honestly, they are the only wholesaler that gets to break the rules like this. Normally, a two journal requirement per fabric is required.

If you happen to be in the Ridgefield, Connecticut area and are into unique museums, I highly recommend this gem. They have rotating exhibits that are very interesting. When I visited, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. I don’t have high expectations for museums, and didn’t really know what to expect but it was very cool, and very digestible in one visit. Expect to spend about an hour walking through-you will most likely stop and read everything.
